Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is a title that diverges from other video games of the wizard as it leaves the secondary adventures of Harry a little aside to make the player dive into the action. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 The second has Ginny fill in Harry for Quidditch when he gets detention and play against the rival seeker Cho Chang. The first has Ron concentrate on following Harry after taking love potion (if he doesn't follow Harry, the mission fails). Harry is the main playable character in the game, but Ron and Ginny are also available in two levels. Harry can also call Nearly Headless Nick to show him around the school. The Marauder's Map is included in the game, as further progressing can open parts of the school. The game also includes multiplayer games, classes, different times of day, Quidditch, Wizard Duels and Potion making. Half-Blood Prince features the exploration of Hogwarts and casting spells on objects around the school, similar to its predecessor Order of the Phoenix. For some reason, the video games that have been released haven’t been able to reach the same level of quality that the movies and books have achieved. The movies haven’t disappointed either and are amongst the highest grossing films of all time.

By the same token, players can pick from their favorite teams - houses like Gryffindor and Slytherin - for instance, and likewise earn wizardry cards which are great for viewing and for unlocking special moves and arenas. In this way, Quidditch World Cup is - fictional competition or not - a lot like one of EA's many sports offerings like Madden.

The game sparkles with crisp FMV sequences featuring Harry, friends and rivals, and a slick menu interface set to the backdrop of the sport itself enables a variety of play modes and options. While the book that the film was based on has had a far-reaching appeal that’s crossed age barriers, the games were definitely skewed toward younger players.ĮA has done a commendable job of realizing the Potter universe in Quidditch World Cup. The franchise’s rich tale of a young boy’s adventure as a wizard-in-training has all the gameplay and story elements needed for a video game pretty much built in. The Harry Potter franchise made a fairly passable jump to game consoles last year when EA released games based on the movie adaptation of the first novel in the series. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.
